This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") explains how UNIQ LAB FZCO ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), a free zone company incorporated under the laws of the UAE, License No. 52386, Registration No. DSO-FZCO-50056, registered at IFZA Business Park, DDP, PO Box 342001, Dubai, UAE, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the website www.uniqunits.com ("Website") and the UNIQUNITS mobile application ("Application"). This Policy forms an integral part of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device that allow a website to recognise the browser and remember information. Similar technologies we may use include local and session storage in browsers and mobile apps; SDKs embedded in the Application; pixels / web beacons / tracking URLs; device identifiers (e.g. Google Advertising ID (GAID), Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)); and fingerprinting techniques (only with consent where required). In this Policy, "Cookies" refers to all of the above.

We classify Cookies into four categories.

Strictly necessary (always on). Required for the basic functioning of the Website / Application — without these, services cannot be delivered. Legal basis: legitimate interest / contractual necessity; no consent required, but we still inform you. Examples: session management and authentication; load balancing; security (CSRF / antifraud tokens); cookie-consent state.

Functionality / preferences. Help remember choices you make (language, region, layout). Legal basis: consent in the EEA/UK; legitimate interest where law allows.

Analytics and performance. Allow us to understand how users engage with our Services so we can improve them. May include first- and third-party analytics (e.g. Google Analytics 4, Firebase, Amplitude). Legal basis: consent in the EEA/UK and any opt-in jurisdiction.

Marketing / advertising. Used to measure marketing effectiveness, attribute installs and conversions, retarget users on third-party platforms (e.g. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, X) and personalise content. May include attribution SDKs (e.g. AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch) and advertising IDs. Legal basis: consent (GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, UAE PDPL where applicable). A current list of Cookies — including provider, purpose and storage duration — is available in the Cookie Settings panel on our Website.

The following list is illustrative; the live list is presented in the consent banner.
— session_id (UNIQ LAB FZCO, strictly necessary): maintains your session and authentication — Session.
— cookie_consent (UNIQ LAB FZCO, strictly necessary): stores your cookie-consent choice — 12 months.
— csrf_token (UNIQ LAB FZCO, strictly necessary): protects against cross-site request forgery — Session.
— lang_pref (UNIQ LAB FZCO, functionality): remembers preferred language — 12 months.
— _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics): distinguishes users and measures usage — up to 24 months.
— _fbp (Meta Pixel, marketing): conversion tracking and retargeting — 90 days.
— attribution_id (AppsFlyer / Adjust, marketing): install attribution and campaign measurement — 30 days.
— GAID / IDFA (Google / Apple, marketing): mobile advertising identifier (only when permitted) — until reset by user.

EEA / UK / other opt-in jurisdictions. On first visit and at intervals (or when our Cookie list changes), we display a consent banner that presents categories with equally prominent "Accept All" and "Reject All" options; allows granular control via "Manage preferences"; does not rely on pre-ticked boxes; treats inaction as refusal; and records consent (date, choices, version) in line with GDPR Art. 7, EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 and the ePrivacy Directive. You may withdraw or modify consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer or in the Application's privacy settings.

UAE. Where the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) applies, the same consent and information rights are honoured.

United States (CCPA/CPRA). California residents may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including via Cookies) using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link, the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, or by emailing info@uniqunits.com. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising directed at minors.

Mobile devices. On mobile, advertising and analytics SDKs operate subject to the platform's permissions framework, including Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and Google's advertising-ID consent mechanism.

Some Cookies are set by third parties acting as independent or joint controllers. Where this is the case, we identify the third party in the Cookie Settings panel and link to their privacy policy. The Company is not responsible for the content of third-party privacy policies; review them independently. Typical third-party providers (live list shown in the banner) include Google LLC (Google Analytics, Firebase, Google Ads); Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Meta Pixel, Meta SDK); AppsFlyer Ltd. or Adjust GmbH (mobile attribution); Amplitude Inc. or Mixpanel Inc. (product analytics); and Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. or other payment processors.

Information collected via Cookies may be transferred to servers located outside your country, including jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ. We rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses, UK IDTA, derogations or other safeguards as set out in our Privacy Policy).

Beyond our consent banner, you may control Cookies via your browser settings (e.g. block third-party cookies, delete existing cookies). Disabling certain Cookies may degrade or prevent some features. Useful resources include the cookie-management help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. For mobile advertising IDs, use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or Android Settings → Google → Ads. Cookies are stored for the duration shown in the Cookie Settings panel or until you delete them or withdraw consent. We periodically reassess the need for each Cookie.

The Services are not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly use Cookies to profile minors.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 14 calendar days in advance via the Website or by email, and will trigger a new consent prompt where required. The latest version is always available on the Website.
